homophobes are not allowed to use computers because the inventor of the computer was gay
People think this is just a joke but Alan Turing was the inventor of the computer and his sexuality was illegal in his time (which was not even 100 years ago) and he was arrested. They put him on drugs that destroyed his genius brain and committed suicide a year after being covicted. He was gay and a war hero as well. He helped to break enigma which was a German code that they put all their messages through. He shorted WWII by two years and saved so many lives in the process.
Friendly reminder that if not for Alan Turing you wouldn’t be reading this post and we might be ruled by the nazis
I can’t believe Spider-Man defeated not one but TWO Disney films and grabbed the Golden Globe
Oh my goodness I’m so happy *ugly sobbing*
People don’t understand why this is a big deal.
Disney has a stranglehold on animation. Ya’ll remember when Frozen came out? Well when it won the Oscar for best-animated film, it was revealed that the people voting didn’t watch any of the other films. Frozen only won because of it’s brand name. For Spiderverse to defeat two Disney films is big because not only does it prove that animated movies feature people of color can be successful but it’s also showing that other animation companies have a chance.
Like all animals, I’m sure Pokemon would like to roll in mud, much to a trainer’s frustration. It’s a full team effort for a job this big, but it’s fun. Making this was fun too.
Thank you. This is so easy and worked for me too. And if you want to appeal anything, just click on the “appeal” button on the post, and it’s submitted automatically.
Or you can just go to that little dropdown from the top and see this option.
Not all flagged posts show there, I’m missing a bunch, but it’s a way to get some of them at least, so boosting.
Chinese Kids Are Getting Their Parents, Their Parents’ Parents, And Their Parents’ Parents’ Parents Involved In A Meme
There’s a new meme in China, and it’s very wholesome.
The challenge, called “four generations,” includes four generations of family members making an appearance, from youngest to oldest.
A son would call his dad, who then calls his dad, who then calls his dad.
And a daughter would call her mom, who calls her mom, who calls her mom.
The results are super cute.
The videos are being shared on video app Douyin, the Chinese version of TikTok, under the challenge name, “Four generations under one roof.”
My home will be a home with no loud anger, no explosive rage, no slamming doors or breaking glass, no name calling, shaming or blackmail. My home will be gentle, it will be warm. It will keep my loved ones safe. No fear, no hurt and no worries. I may come from a broken and twisted place but I will build something whole and safe. I’ll sing in the shower again, cook with a smile and dance in all the rooms. I will heal.
